"Missié Vandisandi" is no doubt my favorite album of Hermann and has remained so since I read it for the first time (although "Afrika" comes close second). I like simply everything in it, the plot, all of the characters, the atmosphere of uncertainty, the naive hero who never understands the events and particularly the fact that it is a story the bits and pieces of which the readers have to reconstruct in their own minds, knowing always more than the characters.

It's rare that a comic book leaves me thinking for a long time, this certainly does, and I think the script is one of the most sophisticated I've come across. Every time I re-read the album, it feels like watching a very clever film which has been edited to perfection.

Regards, Rosabel
